Lichterman Nature Center
Stretch your legs at the Lichterman Nature Center. With over 65 acres of land filled with lakes, meadows and forests, the Lichterman Nature Center is a natural oasis in the urban landscape. The indoor and outdoor facilities feature wildlife, microscopic discoveries, a two-story forest boardwalk and an underwater viewing area.

Memphis Botanic Garden
Enjoy time outdoors and stroll through the gorgeous Memphis Botanic Garden and explore its 23 specialty gardens. Take a walk down the nationally certified Hosta Trail. Be swarmed by butterflies in the Strokes Butterfly Garden. Let the children get in touch with nature at the specially designed children's garden. The Memphis Botanic Garden also hosts a number of special events throughout the year, many of which are open to the public.

Overton Park

Handy Park Amphitheater

Dixon Gallery and Gardens
The arts and horticulture merge at Dixon Gallery and Gardens. Enjoy the art collection, including French and American Impressionist paintings, as well as eight to ten traveling exhibitions annually. The Dixon's 17-acre wooded campus originated as a private residence but has grown into an accredited museum and one of the finest horticultural complexes in the state.
